A Boehm system mouthpiece specially adapted to the German clarinet
and the "Reform Boehm"ﾝ, offered in two models: the M30D and B40D. The
length and diameter of the shank, the bore, the appearance of the tip rail and
the external shape are the components of this new concept, which offers a
perfect balance between a very warm sound and great intonation.
56 rue Lepic reeds are more particularly recommended for these mouthpieces.

The German series mouthpieces are a fantastic addition to the Vandoren mouthpiece line. I was having difficulty using my former mouthpieces as they were difficult to transfer quality sound and continue to keep that same sound on my A clarinet. How embarrassing to change reeds during a symphony concert! With my new B40D, I was able to keep a beautiful dark sound, combined with super clear response, and not feel I needed to push or "bite" to get my sound to project. I highly recommend this mouthpiece and recommend a 3.5+ Vandoren reed to make the sound conplete. (Posted on 1/11/2018)Quality
